August 29 Dirtlip strikes back! On the July 18th episode PaPaPaPaPuffy, the Japanese TV show of Puffy AmiYumi, Dirtplip was played in the background of this scene. This time, you could clearly hear "Shave It Off!" July 31 For Big D booking contact Chris from Rocket Booking 973-763-4394 or email: booking@bigdandthekidstable.com July 13 OK OK OK --- So, we started towards Canada. 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - ect. hour drive. We woke up at 8:00 AM to get there on time. Well, we got to the border and they made us pull over. I knew something was bad; they really didn't like the looks of us. So, first we find out that our friend Matt can't go in 'cause when he was young he got caught for graffing and Canada don't like dat. So about 2 hours later we were hungry, bored and confused. We've spent 2 hours at the Canadian border before so it wasn't above and beyond ridiculous. Buuuut 5 hours later we were getting, how do you say...........pisst. We find out while in our van they found Steve's planner and it said we were playing a show that night..... However, we had told them we were recording. Dan was taken to the back, like a movie, in a room with two strapped officers. There were blinds and all in the room. We were all questioned and 7 1/2 hours later Dan was arrested for false "this and that" and was taken away. We were all banned from Canada for one year. So we drove home..... sorry we didn't make the show... Trust me we didn't know that we were really driving 8 hours to drop our friend off in prison. LATER: We find out that Dan (WE) have to pay a fee of 600.00 Canadian - about 450.00 bucks. (Correct me if I'm off) and he's banned for..... 5 years. However, we're gonna see the Prime Minister like they said and see if we can get a waver. We've been all around and the Canadian border is definitely the hardest to get through. Well sorry to all who were at the shows.......................... Um on a lighter note, tomorrow on Saturday I'm having a yard sale. Cause I went skydiving with Jason and after.... well we're gonna get our licenses. So.... I need to make about 1200.00 by Sunday. I'm selling everything I own and I mean everything. Every TV stereo and couch in the place is O.U.T. CHECK THIS OUT: Like I said Jason and me went Diving, NO not TANDEM (with someone) we took the 8 hour training class and went solo. (Actually Sean P. Rogan is off right now, he jumps tomorrow). So Jay and I did it and when I was falling one out of the eight problems you might have with your shoot happened to me. Mine got all twisted like a swing, and while falling I had to reach above, pull, and the rises (straps) swing my leg around to get some momentum and untwist each twist. And yes yes yes I DID IT. We fell 125 mph - 8,500 feet. HA HA HA HA HA HA And we're going back to get our licenses RRRRRAWWWWW huh. So come to the yard sale HA HA HA BIG D AND THE KIDS TABLE is playing at night at T.T. The Bears in Cambridge next week. Please GO GO GO it will be real fun. In the Boston area at night, that spells trouble which also spells fun. GO GO GO GO July 5 SUNDAY, JULY 8TH, BILLS BAR!! online store CANADA SHOWS UPDATE! June 11 Well, thanks to everyone who went to the shows up in good old CANADA. Man what an adventure this one was. First we actually got through the border without a problem. See, usually we get there and they're like, "ya right, pull over". (see you can bring merch in to Canada, well you can but they'll tax you. So you gotta hide it. I heard they even made SKAVOOVIE set up and play to prove they're a band.) So we got through with NO problem, we didn't have to spend our usual 4 hours there doing NOTHING. Anyway both show were incredible. Man there were like 1,100 people at the one at the Spectrum. I was fuck'en nerrrvas. So, I broke the laces of my right shoe during the first song and have to duct tape it together. I was Run-DMCing it for In Front Of Me, ha ha. Then later I jumped over some of the drums and somehow got my left foot caught on Steve's bass stock. That made my other shoe get messed up. We got to play a new song "EVIL GIRL - ANGRY GIRL" for the first time. I think we might have even played it right. Anyway Sean Flores the man who makes all the Fork In Hand merch. made all this crazy shit for Big D. I told him it would be cool to have, this-that and the other thing and then BLAM! he made it. The stuff is crazy you'll have to check it out. Well, I'll just tell you some cause I can keep a secret, he made hats, and jackets, well that's all I'll say. Finally someone bought my old boots that I used to where to shows. My parents where throwing all my shit away and I found my boots and could let them go in the trash so I put them on the Merch table and someone bought them for $5.00 American.... THANKS MAN - let them live on. Well Big D is now writing new material for upcoming surprises... p.s. Check out the band Couch Addition from Canada, they're really
nice. |
